More than ever, in today’s complex economic environment, having the right insurance is crucial to your business, your family and your life. In North Carolina, both individuals and small to medium sized companies seek out Triangle Insurance Group (TIG), Inc. to provide cost effective insurance and quality service in an ever-changing market.

As one of central North Carolina’s largest independent agencies, TIG understands the Triangle region and has committed the resources to negotiate competitive rates with a multitude of carriers.
“Representing a number of insurance carriers is important to our clients, because it allows us to obtain the best possible coverage at the best possible price for not only their personal needs, but also their business needs and employee benefits,”according to Dave Neville, Vice President.
“What makes us different is our knowledge, expertise, markets and excellent team of employees,” says Secretary-Treasurer Graham Neville.
“We establish good, solid relationships with our clients and our companies,” adds Vice President Earl Johnson. “The underwriters know we are representing quality businesses. We clearly describe the risks, which gives us credibility and allows us to negotiate more cost-effective coverage.”

For example, when a real estate development firm felt its business insurance needs were not being adequately met, the company turned to Triangle Insurance Group. TIG met with the firm and analyzed its current coverage needs.
“The firm’s insurance was spread out among a number of carriers, which resulted in gaps in coverage,” explains TIG President Jim Nappier. “We were able to consolidate our client’s insurance with one carrier, insure some exposures that were not properly covered before, and obtain credits that ended up saving the client about 15 percent.”

Planning smart insurance strategies takes experience and knowledge. Many of TIG’s licensed personnel hold professional insurance designations and stay abreast of market changes that affect the insurance industry.
“We have an excellent staff; they’re life-longlearners,” saysVice President Dave Neville. “The insurance business changes constantly. Our employees embrace those changes and are receptive to learning about new coverage opportunities and new procedures that help us better serve our clients and make us a better agency.”

From Raleigh-Durham to Chapel Hill and beyond, Triangle Insurance Group is on the cutting edge of customer service. For example, as a service to its employee benefit clients, TIG offers an interactive EE benefits client log-in on its Web site that allows group administrators and employees to access information about their specific benefits platform, including downloadable plan documents, forms and more.

A Proud Legacy

Triangle Insurance Group traces its roots back almost 50 years and three generations, to two family-owned agencies. Johnson Nappier Insurance and Graham Neville Insurance were founded in 1959 and 1961, respectively, later merging as Triangle Insurance Group to provide better service to customers, such as Stevens Sausage Company, Inc.
“Triangle Insurance Group has been servicing our insurance needs for over 30 years,” says Jennifer Smith, office manager. “Triangle has provided us with top-quality insurance coverage for all our needs. Their staff is knowledgeable and service oriented, and I have enjoyed my relationship with them for the 12 years that I have been responsible for our insurance coverage.”
