Call the Police. After the accident occurs pull the vehicle to the side of the road or out of harm’s way, if possible. Once you have established that anyone involved is not injured, call the police.

The agent will help you navigate the collision information aftermath and can also help with rental cars if needed. Insurers want the claims process to be as easy as possible for the policy holder, and the faster you make that call, the better.
Check Your Claims Status. You will need to check the status of your claim with your agent frequently. Typically, these agents will contact you but it is important to keep track for your own records.
